Hi, Everybody & welcome to my Gnarly little page here on Etsy! My name is Michael Denton. I grew up here in the little southern Maine town of Saco where my fascination of anything natural grew. I spent a lot of time in the beautiful Maine woods as a child as well as an Outward Bound course when I was fourteen. I hiked 627 hundred miles of the Appalachian Trail in 1999 and went back in 2011 to hike 1500 miles from Georgia to the border of Massachusetts. The pictures I use on my page were from that 2011 hike. I am pretty new to all this as I have spent most of my working life cooking in several local restaurants here in Maine. I started Gnarly Root Designs for something new & found that making useful items from things found in nature makes me happy. I hope to improve everything that i do so any help or support would be greatly appreciated. I'm glad you you found my page & you enjoy these products as much as I enjoy making them.
